An Overview of the Global Mobility Services Framework

Mobility within Higher Education is on the increase. Almost all Higher Education Institutions now regularly manage employees who spend time working overseas or international workers working in the UK. The complex international tax and regulatory obligations created by cross-border working has become a high risk for Universities both financially and reputationally.

The North West Universities Procurement Consortium (NWUPC) has launched a Global Mobility Services Framework Agreement on behalf of a number of Universities Purchasing Consortium groups to provide quality global mobility support services for the higher education sector at a competitive price.

The Framework commenced on 1st October 2016 for an initial period of 36 months until 30th September 2019.

PwC has been selected by the NWUPC as a preferred provider and is in the unique position of being able to provide global mobility support services under all five lots thus providing universities with the flexibility of working with a single provider to service all of all of their global mobility needs.

Benefits of the FrameWork Agreement for Universities

The opportunity to work with a trusted advisor who has already been vetted by the NWUPC as a partner who holds the necessary technical knowledge, has the required global reach and understands the higher education sector;
Highly competitive consulting rates for the provision of global mobility services which have already been benchmarked for you;
The ability to work with a single provider for all of your global mobility needs; reducing the time staff need to spend on managing multiple vendors. This may also generate further economies of scale from a fee perspective;
A holistic approach to consulting which helps you manage reputational risk by considering the big picture from the outset;
Access to an established team of higher education specialists in the UK and overseas who have worked together before on Internationalisation projects.
